About the internship
You'll join our Security & IT Infrastructure team to help protect Datamaran's environment, working on live tools and infrastructure across IT operations, threat detection and Red/Blue team exercises. You'll tune our detection rules, clean up access and asset data, and write documentation the team will keep using after you leave.

In this role, you will:

• Monitor SIEM alerts, help with incident triage, run vulnerability scans and manage internal phishing simulation campaigns

• Audit and update our asset inventory, and run IAM access reviews to enforce least privilege

• Tune EDR rules to cut false positives, and support OSINT footprinting and tabletop incident response exercises

• Turn recurring helpdesk issues into self-service knowledge base articles, and document system configurations, network baseline changes and security playbooks

What you'll learn
You'll gain hands-on experience across IT operations, threat detection and offensive and defensive testing, working with senior engineers in weekly sessions. Your work gets reviewed as each deliverable is produced, so you'll get concrete feedback throughout.

Who we're looking for
You will thrive here if you:

• Are following a bachelor or master programme, in cybersecurity, computer science, IT, network engineering or a related field

• Are comfortable with Linux and Windows, command-line interfaces and networking fundamentals, and enjoy troubleshooting

• Speak and write fluent English, including clear technical documentation

• Have exposure to or a strong interest in security tools and concepts such as SIEM, EDR, CVSS scoring or vulnerability management platforms
