Four teams, one signal
Everything at Datamaran runs on the same loop: pick up a signal, work out what it means, decide what to do with it. Four teams carry that loop between them.
Product and Engineering
Valencia builds Datamaran.
Engineering, design and product sit in the same office and work in named teams: Collaboration, Strategy and Regulatory Monitoring. Each owns a workstream end to end, from what a customer struggles with to what ships.
The work is unusually close to the domain. Our product managers spend time with regulatory researchers, not just with customers, because the thing being built is a judgment about which risks matter. Engineers here read regulation.
Regulatory Monitoring is our newest product and the one with the most ground to cover.
Regulatory and Research
This is the team most companies do not have.
Regulatory researchers, data analysts and sustainability specialists read what regulators, standard setters and stakeholders publish, across jurisdictions, and turn it into structure the platform can use. 99 topics. More than 19,800 regulations. Someone decided what each of them means.
They sit across Leeuwarden, London, Valencia and remote, and they are the reason a customer can defend a decision two years later.
Commercial
London sells, and increasingly so does New York.
Account executives, business development, customer success and marketing. Deal cycles run six to twelve months and end up in front of VPs and C-level buyers in legal, compliance, risk and sustainability. Buyers who already know their domain, which means the value case has to do real work.
Around 70 percent of pipeline is self-generated. The rest comes from BDRs, marketing and our Harbor community.
Operations and People
The team that makes the other three possible.
Finance, legal, people operations, IT and workplace experience, across four legal entities and four countries. Small, which means broad roles: nobody here does one thing.
