Regulatory Data Entry and Research Internship
Looking for an internship where you'll actually make an impact? At Datamaran you'll work on projects that matter, learn from an experienced team, and grow every day.
We usually respond within a week
About the internship
Datamaran's regulatory database helps companies around the world keep track of the ESG rules that apply to them, and you'll help keep it complete and accurate. You'll join our regulatory team to research ESG laws, directives, reporting frameworks and guidelines across different jurisdictions, analyse them with the help of AI tools, and add them to the database. We're expanding into new jurisdictions and new types of regulation, so what you add goes straight into a product our clients use.
In this role, you will:
Research ESG-related regulations in the jurisdictions assigned to you, using parliament and government sources, and add around 15 new entries to our database each week
Analyse regulations with the help of AI tools, and run quality checks on your entries
Help clear our backlog and keep the database current by fixing dead links and tracking proposed regulations and consultations
Support ad hoc research projects for clients and internal teams, about two a month
What you'll learn
You'll learn how ESG regulation works across legal systems, from binding laws to voluntary frameworks, and how to use AI tools in legal research without losing accuracy. You'll get training sessions with the team, biweekly 1:1s with your manager, and ongoing feedback from colleagues.
Who we're looking for
You will thrive here if you:
Are following a bachelor or master programme, in law, international relations, political science, sustainability or a related field
Have strong research and legal analysis skills, understand the difference between hard law and soft norms, and work with a high level of accuracy
Speak and write fluent English, at an advanced level
Are comfortable with Word, Excel and PowerPoint

About Datamaran
Datamaran is the AI-powered governance platform for enterprise.
Regulations change. Stakeholders shift. Markets move. Large organizations are expected to hold a clear, defensible position on all of it, and most still get there through slow manual work on fragmented signals.
We turn regulatory, stakeholder and market signals into intelligence that leadership teams can act on, built on 12+ years of expertise in non-financial risk. Risk, legal, compliance, sustainability and corporate affairs teams at Bridgestone, Dell, Cisco, Kraft Heinz and PepsiCo use Datamaran to decide what matters, and to stand behind that decision afterwards.
